MUKTINATH - The valley of SALVATION-
SALIGRAMI, popularly known as Muktinath, a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists, is situated at an altitude of 3,710 meters in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. Hindus call it Mukthi Kshetra (The Salvation Valley) while Buddhists call it Valley of Chumming Gyatsa (in Tibetan language it means the place of 108 waterspouts) and believe that Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava) the founder of Tibetan Buddhism meditated here on his way to Tibet. Mythological respect states that one must complete this sacred voyage once in a lifetime to attend the merit of SALVATION / Moksha. Day 01: Kathmandu (1337m)
Kathmandu (1337m.) Welcome to Kathmandu international airport, transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu: (Visa Day of NRI’s)
After breakfast start to Kathmandu sightseeing including Pashupatinath temple, Budhanilkantha & Swayambhunath Stupa back to hotel, rest of day is free for pack up checking and evening program briefing.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Kodari (2515m) - 4 to 5 hours
After breakfast about 10AM group departure to Kodari (Nepal – China Border) by private tourist coach. Over night stay at guesthouse.
Day 04: Kodari to Nylam (3750m)
5 hours including lunch and immigration.
Day 05: Nylam
Nylam Full day free at Nylam for acclimatization and Nylam city excursion.
Day 06: Nylam to Dongba (4500m) - 6 to 7 hours
Day 07: Dongba to Mansarovar  (4550m) Chiu - 7 hours.
Day 08: Mansarovar to Darchen (4560m)
Am free for holy dip and Pooja (ritual activities). After Lunch drive to Darchen. Proceed to Serlung Gompa by Jeep (if permitted) to have divine view of Astapada, Nandi Parbat, Kailas Ganga, Kuber Parbat, Astamatrikagan Parbat and Dakshinmurti Shivalaya. Over night stay at Darchen, Guest House.
Day 09: Darchen to Driaphuk (4890m)
This is first day of the Kailash Parikrama (Kora). Start after breakfast as earlier as possible. This day we have to walk about 7 hours at all. Yak will carry our all-essential equipments. Over night stay at Driaphuk, Campsite.
Day 10: Driaphuk to Zuthulphuk (4750m)
This day is very sensitive and has to Pass Dolma-La (5,670m) above sea level. The weather is unpredictable in Dolma-La and any time can change and start to snow storm. So we try to start our journey as earlier as possible. In route can Darshan Gaurikunda. But it is very difficult to go and touch. Over night stay at Zuthulphuk, Campsite.
Day 11: Zuthulphuk to Paryang / Dongba
This is the day to finish Parikrama (Kora) of Kailash at Zongjerpu. And drive to Paryang. Over night stay at guesthouse.
Day 12: Paryang/ Donga to Nylam - 7 hours
Day 13: Nylam to Kathmandu
After clearing the boarder formalities Nepal part will pick up from boarder by tourist coach and continue proceed to Kathmandu, check in to same hotel. At evening, feedback assembly and certificate distribution. Over night stay at Kathmandu.
Day 14: Kathmandu to Pokhara: (6 hours)
After breakfast at Kathmandu, drive to Pokhara. On the way visit Manakamana Devi’s temple with latest cable car experience. Over night stay at hotel at Pokhara.
Day 15: Pokhara to Jomsom (2800m)  Muktinath (3610m)
Early in the morning transfer to Pokhara domestic airport. Fly to Jomson, pick up from airport and trabsfer to Jeep driving point. One and half hours driving to Muktinath by Jeep. Rest of the day free for Holy Bath and Pooja. Late afternoon drive back to Jomsom. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara
Early in the morning tranefr to Jomsom Demestic airport. Fly to Pokhara. Arrival transfer. Check in to the hotel and rest of the day Pokhara city sightseeing and an hour boating on Phewa Lake. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, departure to Kathmandu. About 6 hours drive. Check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping and individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 18: Airport
Departure transfers to Airport.

What is the main document to go Kailash Mansarovar Yatra?

The main document to go Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is minimum 6 month (from your journey date) valid passport and 2 copies of passport size photographs.

What is the age limit minimum and maximum?

There is no any rule by chinese authority for minimum age restriction although ABC Adventures do not book the child below 14 years. So minimum age should be 14 years and maximum age should be below 70 years as per passport's record accordingly CIPSC Rule.

Who cannot go Kailash Yatra?

The persons who is suffering from asthmatic and respiratory problem are strictly not allow to going this Yatra as well those are suffering by cardiac problem please consult with doctor. If you are fit and fine after a cardiac treatment, you can take this Yatra.

Do I need anyfitness certificate?

No, you don't need any fitness certificate in normal cases. Although,some time Chinese authority can ask a normal certificate from your personal doctor. Your main doctor is your willpower.. so if you are strong by willpower, you can join this Yatra.

What types of Accommodation and Toilet facilities are there in this Yatra?

In Kathmandu you are staying in deluxe 3stars hotel, So there is no mean of any problem, but when we reach to Border Land and enter to Tibet for Kailash Yatra, the basic but neat and clean guesthouse are available. Toilets are not good and proper till, the very basic dry toilets are available and some places you can go toilet on open sky.

Is there any tented accommodation?

No there is no any tented accommodation during Kailash Yatra. Even in Kailash Parikrama there are guest houses to stay.

How is the road condition?

The road condition from Kathmandu to China corder is normal like national sub highway and from border to Kailash and Back to Border is like international highway.. there is no any rough road remained now.

What types of food is available during trip?

During your stay in Kathmandu and Kodari Border of Nepal and China, the pure vegetarian meal served in hotels. When we enter to Tibet for Kailash, our trained cook and food & beverages manager prepared the pure vegetarian Indian and Continental food discussions with you and your team leader. There will be at least 7 course meal in Dinner. Heavy breakfast and light lunch with fresh fruits will be served.

We start our morning with hot water with Honey, Chavanprash and main courser of Breakfast, Milk, Tea and Coffee. At day time we service hot-case packed lunch and at dinner will be end with hot milk with Chocololate or similar hot drink. So not to worry about your meal.

What types of eatable item do we need to carry?

The eatable items like; Chocolates, peanuts, different types of seed to time pass during your day time in vehicle, Cazu, Kishmiss and some refreshment pickles and your favorites items to time pass you can carry.

What is the facility to take bath or take shower during Yatra?

When you start your Journey from Kathmandu we do not allow you to take any heavy bath or shower. because once when you take bath your spots of body will be open and start to observe the old from outside and start to lick the heat that pro ducting in inside of your body, so we will allow you only to take deep in Mansarovar without any soap and shampoo. If you take heavy bath or shower, you will be immediately catches by cold and will fall in sick.

Can we carry any CD or music player?

Yes, you can carry Songs, Bhajan and Music as your favorites, you can play even in your Jeep or Coach during your journey as well we can carry your walkman music player as well.

How many pairs of dresses do I need to Carry for Kailash Yatra?

Up to Nepal you can carry your luggage as you wish, although there is a restriction of 20 KG wait in airplane. When once you reach in Nepal we will give you duffel bag to carry your luggage for Kailash Yatra and you have to select your dress for further. Only three pears of dresses are enough with sufficient of inner garment. Female are advised to us trouser or Kurta Salwar instead of wearing Sari. you can check the list to carry in main page.

What about the communication facilities? Can we carry our Mobile phone?

If you are coming with your international roaming activated card will smoothly work in Kailash region. Other ways you can buy a temporary SIM card (Chinease SIM) when you enter in Tibet at first city. This temporary SIM has not outgoing call facility but outgoing massage facility so you can send massage to your home and you can receive call from your home country as well all places you can get public telephone, So there is no any scarcity of communication

What about electricity and charging facilities?

There are almost electricity in all places, some places by hydro power, some places micro power, some places by generators and some places by Solar power.some how you are getting short term and long term light facility and you can recharge batteries of your electronic items like mobile and camera.

Do I need to cover any insurance policy?

Yes, you are requested and advised to get your insurance policy with medicine, evacuation and rescue back up. Evacuation and rescue back up is must needed in this Yatra. We accept your Insurance policy from Travel Guard of TATA AIG. you can contact to TATA AIG or Travel Guard Agents or your can get your policy directly from online service.

How much extra and additional money do I need to carry after paying the amount of Yatra?

Once when you pay the amount of Yatra there is no any hidden cost to collect from you. Although, you need to carry at least 20 to 25 thousand amount along with you for this Yatra. That amount is enough to personal horse and personal porter if you hire and small amount for TIPS.
